For this week’s prompt, we had to do self portrait through story telling. I chose to use a pile of sketchbook. These are all sketchbooks I’ve recently completed and I consider them to be a major part of myself. I pour my creativity, ideas and interests into the pages. I wanted to show the story of an artist who may be a little scattered but willing to create. I thought the open sketchbook and the layered effect would help spark the imagination of the viewer. The page the sketchbook is open on is of drawings I made of my Animal Crossing: New Leaf character with some flowers. Plants are something I’m deeply interested in and I think they reflect me as a person because I’m eager to grow and develop my skills as a creator and artist. Composition wise, I think I could improve on what I have in focus and what I want the focal point of the image to be.
