For this week, our photo blog challenge was “Weight or Mass” with the prompt of inspiration. I found this rather fitting because in AP Physics, we’ve been learning and using weight and mass. I was inspired to take a picture of this decorative, weighted ball surrounded by small, colored stones inside a platter. I associate these warm colors with having power. The neutral tones remind me of Earth, and with the addition of the ball being round, gives it a grounded feeling. Weight is influenced by the attraction to Earth, which I find rather fitting in this case. Physics has inspired me for this photo. These decorations are rather heavy in person and that only emphasizes the weight aspect about them. I aimed to have a rather neutral color palette for this prompt.
