The humor unit was meant for us to tune into our more creative writing side. The unit was completely done in English class, where we read The Importance of Being Earnest, Rhinoceros, and Slaughterhouse-Five.The importance of reading these books was to learn about how satire impacts writing. After reading the books, we were tasked with creating our own humor project. There were many choices of what to do, but Nate Randolph and I chose to make a sketch comedy video. We were inspired by the Youtube duo; Jimmy Tatro and Christian Pierce, aka Life According to Jimmy, and the rapper Lil Dicky. We both really like Life According to Jimmy’s sketch comedy and Lil Dicky’s absurd humor.

Our sketch comedy video was all about a debate between us about if it’s better to be short or tall. To have an informal setting, the video is taken in the car as we’re driving. Nate and I argue about if it’s better to be short or tall, and when the debate get’s too heated, we get pulled over. The cop comes up to the window and when Nate and I see it’s a very short cop, we both laugh at how funny it is to be short.
