I took this photo in the Merced River in Yosemite National Park and it shows my culture because I love exploring new places and going on adventures.

The challenge for this week's photo was using shadow. This photo was taken flying over San Francisco while focused on my sister's phone. With the highlights of the city in the background, the plane was in the shadow and very cool.

This week's photo challenge was to take a photo of new beginnings. I think that this photo resembles new beginnings because of the sun about to set over the horizon. The sun rises and sets each day and it reminds us to live for the moment and never take a second for granted.

Although I grew up forty minutes outside from San Francisco, I still have many ties to the City By The Bay. There is also no landmark in California that is more iconic than the glistening Golden Gate Bridge. This shot was taken during sunrise high above the bridge in the Marin Headlands.

This week we were supposed to take a "love story" photo. Since I was young, my family and I have gone sailing around the San Francisco bay and I fell in love with boats. I always liked the adventure of sailing around the huge bay and it reminded me of being in a movie. I have a lot of great memories from our sailboat so that's why I chose this photo.

While landing in Portland, the sky lit up with color and made a beautiful scene over the river. I knew this would be perfect for this week's photo challenge, warmth. The yellows and oranges create a warm feeling in the sky and it feels like you're flying through a dream world.

For my self-portrait, I chose to use baseball as my theme. I have played baseball for twelve years and it has became very important in my life. I play throughout the whole year with the school team.
