Podcast

For the podcast project, Nate and I wanted to work together to create a guide to the hit show, Survivor. In the podcast, me, Nate, and two other Survivor fans discussed how the game works and why it’s so interesting.

Introduction

We are doing a podcast project to creatively explore interest and show our voice. The goal for the project is to deep dive into a topic of interest, learn more about it, and create an audio show dedicated to it. One major point of the podcast unit is to become a better storyteller and learn more about the medium of podcasting. One of my inspirations for the project was the Garyvee podcast because of his high level on entertainment and the informal experience he brings.

Reflection

I really enjoyed the podcast project. The initial struggle for an idea and then our idea blossoming into a cohesive audio product made me really value the creative process. I would definitely want to continue podcasting with my friends or be a guest on someone’s podcast. One advice I would give to someone starting a podcast for the first time is to do exactly what you want to do and make the listener feel like they are in the same room. This was one of my favorite projects during my time at Freestyle.
