Suburban Street

Suburban Street Suburban Street Pastel

A street within my close neighborhood, taken whilst on a run through the familiar area, which had used to be a route I would take to school. I enjoy painting landscapes, and thought that for a first pastel painting this one had come out very well.

Mountaintop

Mountaintop Mountaintop Pastel

The top of a trail that I was traveling with my parent and some friends. I liked the view, and thought that it would be fun to recreate in pastel, I enjoy this one in some ways more than the previous, and if I had time would have used smaller brushes to get even more colors from the grass in the image.

Surreal Art

Mixed Surreal Art

I had a lot of fun making these two pieces of art, after we learned compositing in adobe photoshop. They were taken from pictures that I didn’t altogether love, but when I put them together, what I had gotten I thought looked better than the original. In many parts of the pictures they blended well, in others they didn’t. But I had fun trying to make it work the best I can. I especially loved the lobster-phone featured in my first piece.

Multi-Layered Art Project

Although I didn’t create a physical copy of my Multi-Layered art project I still learned a lot. I was tasked with creating a multiple layer art file, that I would then create after it is laser cut with wood. For this project I attempted to continue with my outdoor theme that can be seen in many of my previous works. Parts of the process included creating what could be similar to a storyboard, or outline of every frame that we had planned. So we knew exactly how it would layer, before we put it onto illustrator and attempted to copy what we had drawn with an original reference layer. I wish I had created a physical copy, and out of all the projects I’ve done on freestyle this is one that I feel I got far in, but ended up missing out on.
