Introduction
What is the Zenith Project?
For our elective class (mine is film), we were tasked with creating a “Zenith” project, which is basically the project that displays the peak of our abilities and puts everything we have learned at Freestyle into practice.
What is MY Zenith Project?
For my own Zenith project, I wanted to learn special effects and learn how to use After Effects better. I decided that I would make a short video displaying the effects that I learn. (Originally I was supposed to make a video containing multiple effects, but because of Covid, I could only do one effect).
How is this project a risk or new challenge for me?
This Zenith project is a new challenge for me because it pushes me to grow in my scheduling and planning because I have to make sure I plan with enough time to film each clip and to learn each effect that I want to replicate before I get into the editing. It also will be a new challenge for me to dive deep into After Effects and learn about the things that it can do in the realm of VFX.
How will I incorporate my production class skills (new or existing) into your Project?
For my Production Class (Film), I will incorporate scheduling and storyboarding for pre-production, filming the shots using lighting as well as recording sound for production, and using After Effects and Premiere for editing the special effects and piecing the video together.
