This photo is a lie. It looks like it was taken on a warm, sunny day, but it was actually cold and windy. Just outside of the frame, the sky is full of grey clouds. Behind me, the sky is completely grey, and no blue is visible. I framed the photo so you can only see the blue and the sun. I love how the green stands against the backdrop of sky blue. The horizon line swoops down to the left. I like to think that the quiet of this scene can be felt through the photo. Through the screen.
