Food

Our tree has always produced a lot of oranges for as long as I remember. Thus I have eaten these oranges for years, and thus they have a very special meaning to me. For this photo, I collected a bunch of oranges from the tree and made a photo like one of the ones they would to advertise produce at […]

Current Events

What a coincidence. This week was my last Science Olympiad tournament, so it was my most current event. I decided to take a picture of my lovely Co-President as she was waiting until the announcement for the results came out.

Modern Convince

Recently, I got some headphones. These have been a big connivence, because they are wireless and noise cancelling, so I can do all my chores without my earbuds getting yanked out by accident and do my work in peace. I decided to take it like an advertisement by being inspired by one of those adds for headphones were the models […]

Deadly Sins

The prompt for this week was “Deadly Sins” those being pride, envy, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth. I choose the sin envy, as in one of my extra curricular, Science Olympiad, there is often a lot of envy to be one of those people with a much of medals around your neck at the end of a tournament. 1st […]

Viewpoint

For this photo, I choose to get low. To the viewpoint of a bug, under the prompt “viewpoint”. At this angle, I found two butterflies taking a sip from a lake, and I was able to get pretty close to them and take a photo.

Film Noir

This week’s prompt encouraged us to make a dramatic photo which utilized the black and white art style. While on a hike with my father, we had to pass though this ominous tunnel which was the perfect setup for complimenting the mystery that comes with a lack of color.

Color theory

For our color theory prompts, I took a picture of a red flower with its green leaves in the background. This make the red flower pop out more because red contrasts with green. Similarly, I got up really close to the flower to make sure that it took up the majority of the frame space, really showing that the flower […]

Silhouettes

For this photo blog, the task was to take a picture of a silhouette. As fall turn into winter, the apricot tree in front of my house loses its leaves. For this assignment, I took a picture of the last few leaves on my tree specifically during sunset, as the sun cycle continues just as the seasons. This is a […]

Gratitude

For “Gratitude” I decide to take a picture of these mushrooms that started growing in the cool shade of December. They are attached to a large tree and have a friendly bit of moss as their neighbor. Little things like these can sometimes bring me more joy than something with a large or with a big presence.

Color Without Color

For this prompt “color without color” I decided to take a picture of the most colorful thing in my house, my birds. This is Velma after I caught her playing with one of her bell toys. With the photo being in grayscale it highlight her expression rather than being blinded by the bright colors of the parakeet. Through this, her […]
