Speed Light Shots

[1/50 f/2.8 ISO 400]

For this assignment, we attached our speed lite (flash) to our DSLR cameras to see how the different positioning/method of the speed lite affects a photo. In the top left, I pointed the speed lite directly at Elmo which resulted in a very direct and bright flash. In the top right, I had the speed light pointed upwards with a white bounce card sticking out to make the flash somewhat bounce towards the target, resulting in a less bright Elmo. In the bottom left, I pointed the speed light straight upwards to reflect the light off the ceiling onto Elmo. This created a brighter top of the image, however, the ceiling was pretty high so it only brightened Elmo a little. Finally, in the bottom right, I pointed the flash at Elmo with the diffuser cap covering the flash causing the light to scatter and illuminate Elmo a little.
