Explorations
Introduction to Exploration:
Exploration is an amazing experience where we get to choose a subject that we’re interested in learning and teach others about it and master it. We also get to relate it to our elective class. For example, people in the film will choose a topic that is related to film. We get to be creative and take control because it’s a self-directed project. We plan and organized based on our own projects. It takes high productivity to be able to communicate our projects and show visual productivity. Through the project, we work on our visual and technological literacy, the ability to understand the 21st-century media. Also, we learn how the technology works and how to use it to achieve the goals of what we creating. We get to be responsible while having to be able to take risks in our project.
My Explorations project:
For my explorations project, I choose to focus on technical literacy and creativity. I choose the topic of Stop Motion. I learned new skills in editing and also built on my camera skills. I also got to be creative in what to film and to create my characters for my stop motion.
My Process:
My Stop Motion Final Production:
My Stop Motion project was inspired by Clay-Mation. Which is stop motion using Clay characters and pieces. I choose two clay characters that are supposed to be blobs. They each make different noises. It supposed to be about one character who is happy and loves hugs and one character who is normally mad but when he gets offered a hug becomes happy.

Reflection:
Something I really valued from this project is learning how to do projects that are tedious. Stop Motion takes a lot of time and patience. This is especially because I used clay characters that had pieces that would fall off. So being able to practice my patience and practice tedious work was a great experience. Not only that but while editing I had to make sure all my images where perfectly in order which was very hard because I normally with videos that have a clear order.
Experimental Music:
My inspiration for my experimental music was One Direction which was my favorite boy band when I was little. I used the lyrics from one of my favorite songs and created my own instrumental music in the background as it played. I tried to make the music touch people’s hearts in a way that they can connect with those they’re missing.
