About me

Noah Esparza

Hi, welcome to my page! My name is Noah Esparza and I am a first year student at Freestyle Academy. I’m currently taking Digital media, Design 1, and English. So far, this program has been great. I’ve met some really cool people and I am glad that I have some friends who are part of this program with me as well. I became really interested in Freestyle when I learned about the different courses and the possibility to improve my design skills. Since Mountain View High School doesn’t have these types of courses available, joining Freestyle Academy was a unique and exciting opportunity. I am very interested in clothing and design and one day I hope to make my own clothing brand or work in the field of fashion. Coming into freestyle, I didn’t know what to expect. I was nervous and excited but just a few weeks into the program and I am feeling much more confident and comfortable with the teachers and the work we do here. I never knew how to use a camera, how to use adobe apps, or build a website and I really wanted to learn these skills. Being part of Freestyle Academy has helped me see that the goals and dreams I have following High School are possible and that is what I like the most about Freestyle Academy.

Outside of class, I really like to skateboard, hangout with my friends, draw, and bike. I let my art and designs speak for itself, to a point where the story can be seen throughout my work. Being outside and active is something I really enjoy. One of my passions is exploring new places in nature and abandoned areas. Exploring my own hometown, Mountain View, as well as other cities such as Los Altos, San Francisco, Sunnyvale, etc.. on my bike with friends is always exciting and fun. I’m really looking forward to my first year at Freestyle Academy and I can’t wait for all the fun and awesome things we’re going to learn and do!

The end of my first year at Freestyle Academy has come, I’m glad to say that I have grown not only as a person but as a Digital Artist as well. With all the problems that 2020 has brought to many people along with the struggles I had only grew my creativeness and thanks to Freestyle Academy it was a great outlet for me to express that creativity. Although we couldn’t attend school in person due to COVID-19, my junior year at Freestyle Academy has taught me many skills that I never thought I’d once learn in my life. Freestyle though me how to use programs like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, and Avid Pro Tools and many more. With the useful info on how to use these programs it gave me a better understanding of how I can use these skills to be the artist I want to be. I enjoyed my first year at Freestyle Academy and I look forward to my second year as a senior at Freestyle!
