About Us

The Out The Mud podcast is about one of our good friends named Erik Munoz (AKA) BloodyOpium, a senior at Mountain View High School, who has a strong passion for making music. We wanted to give people a better understanding of how our friend Erik came to find this passion for making music and hopefully inspire others who have similar interests.

  • My name is Noah Esparza. I am a senior at MVHS whose interests are in fashion, design, and film and I hope to one day create my own clothing brand. Erik has been a good friend of mine for many years now and we both have similar interests in fashion, film, and music. It made me interested in learning more about my close friends’ approach to the industry.
  • My name is Alessandro Valdevit. I am a senior at MVHS who is interested in fashion, music and graphic design. As someone who has been following the “underground rap” scene for many years I was very interested in learning more about my close friend’s approach to the industry.
  • My name is Pedro Juarez, I am a senior at Mountain View High School. I am interested in music production and visual fx. I hope to work with my peer Erik Munoz in the next few years while staying doing school at the same time.

Introduction

We did this podcast to try to get our friends’ side on how it is to make music while being in high school. We hope that anyone who is also interested in making music can listen to our podcast and gain inspiration from Erik

Reflection

A few things we valued from this podcast Project were getting to learn and experience how to create a podcast through creating a script, audio editing, and creating cover art. There’s a lot that goes into making a podcast that I never thought or knew about. It opened my eyes into understanding the work, time, and process podcasters who have been doing this longer than I have. If I could give some tips I would just say have fun with this project. It’s an amazing opportunity to learn something new while also getting to have fun and learn different skills.
