Introduction
For the Explorations project, we were allowed to do just about anything we found interesting and wanted to learn more about. I decided I wanted to dive into Macro photography. I had played around with it before but none of the photos turned out good so I wanted to try and get better. The 21st-century skill I improved upon was high productivity. I completed this project before the due date, giving myself more time to work on other assignments for other classes. This was really nice with finals week being the week after we finished.
My Progress
My first photos here are clearly pretty bad. I was struggling to get the camera settings right. In some of the photos, I would want a large depth of field but that would mess up the expose. I had to mess around with all the settings to get the photos to look good.
After some practice, I was able to figure out the settings. My photos are still not the best but they aren’t as bad as before.
These are all of my final photos, after lots of practice. There is a lot of improvement from my first photos.
Reflection
I really love how all of my photos turned out. I also really like seeing my improvement over the course of this project. This was a fun project to do because we got to choose what we wanted to work on. It is also really fun to see all that my peers have created for this project.
