For this week’s photo, we were supposed to creatively use white balance to take a photo that’s not color accurate. I thought it would be cool to make the light from a candle look very vibrant and red. I lit this candle on my desk, because I loved the way the wood grain reflected the light. I really like how the colors came out, and how bright the candle looks in contrast to the dark background! This theme was super fun for me, because I love to play around with colors and light in my photos. I think fire is also a very inspiring subject to work with! It’s so warm and bright, and I think I was able to reflect that with the vibrant oranges and reds in this photo.
