leading lines

A photo of an infinity mirror. Small balls of light appear to vanish into the distance.
1/50 f29 ISO1600

For this week’s photo, we were supposed to use leading lines to show the concept of infinity. To take this photo, I decided to use my mom’s infinity mirror that she made for one of her robots! This mirror is super cool to look at, because the LED lights look like they go on forever. The organization of the lights creates lines that lead the viewer’s eyes off into the distance (or, off into infinity).

This photo was pretty difficult to take, since the reflection of the camera in the mirror messed with how it appeared. While this photo isn’t perfect, it still captures most of how the mirror looks! This prompt was kind of difficult, but it was really interesting to try something totally new.

using props

April 28, 2024May 31, 2024

This week’s prompt was to create an interesting effect using simple props. My “prop” was a puddle! I created this effect by using flash and reflecting it into ripples in the puddle. The light bounced off of the reflection of my hair, which is red, so it created a little…
