This week’s photo was meant to be inspired by trash. I saw this electrical box covered in stickers and was reminded of this prompt. A lot of the stickers were torn or faded and would probably be considered trash, but I think when it’s all put together it’s quite beautiful. I especially loved this moth, as it stood out and the tear was so sharp. This also reminded me of how a moth’s wing could tear in real life, which could relate to how trash effects wildlife.
This was in a fairly low-light area, and so I used a high ISO and got a sort of grainy old look, which I love. I also liked the lighting of the alley where I found it a lot, as the yellowish tint also felt sort of old + grunge. All in all, I’m pretty happy with how this photo turned out!
