Leading Lines in Food Photography

1/16 f2.8 ISO200

This week, our photography was supposed to show leading lines in food photography. I realized that leading lines don’t always have to be leading to a vanishing point—instead, the leading lines can lead towards the focal point. For this photo, I decided to go simple, with a raspberry on the end of a fork. I like how the red raspberry contrasts well with the white background. There is a lot of great lighting in this photo, including the light reflecting on the fork and the countertop, giving an overall luminescent effect.
