Narrative Animation

Action Reaction

With some mastery over motion capture and applying it to 3D models, I was able to create a short animation with my character as the main character and a butterfly as his nemesis.

Modeling

Temples

Creating this greek temple was one of my very first experiences creating a 3D model digitally on Maya. This was an amazing way to begin learning how to do 3D modeling in one of the most complex and most used 3D modeling software. I appreciated being able to learn how to shape our starter temple and then be able to move it around the shaped environment.

Weapon

This weapon was very inspired from Marceline’s (Adventure Time) electric guitar which is of multipurpose as a fighting axe. I thought of using said weapon as a more original approach to the weapon concept. I really enjoyed creating this model although I have to admit that I encountered a lot of obstacles. Moving the model from one software to another was somewhat challenging for me since the model itself changed shape and details I had to correct with the time and tools available to each software. Although the final version is not 100% what I hoped it would be, I do appreciate all I got to learn from creating it.

Cornelius

Cornelius is merely but an infant faun who’s favorite thing to do is roam around the forest and play innocent (based on his judgment) pranks on mortals and nymphs; as he watches from a cautious distance the results from his pranks. One day he finds one of his silly pranks fails which results on him meeting his victim for the first time, a forest nymph who is not quick of letting him go so easily.
