Introduction

We hope that the listeners can take away the lessons this film represents. It’d be wonderful if someone could listen to our podcast and go see the movie with the ideas that we plant in mind. This movie reflects a lot of real life lessons in a more fantastical scenario and it is always of great comfort for us as the hosts to be able to have this film to look back on when we struggle. If Sophie made it as an adult with an elderly curse, why can’t we too? At the end of the day, this movie gave us hope and whether the listeners have watched this movie or not, it can inspire someone to watch this beloved film keeping in mind its values in love and change as well as encouraging them to watch more films by the same animation studio.

Reflection

I valued the opportunity to discuss more deeply about a film that holds a special place in my heart with a fellow fan and friend. Our entire discussion was very organic and made the both of us think over our points of view in the movie and its characters. It was also very refreshing to try something that I didn’t see myself doing, I was very nervous to record this and present it to a wider audience so I really appreciated the experience.
