Mood

Spider in Web

For this week’s photo blog, we were tasked to take a picture representing our current mood. For this prompt, I chose to take a picture of a spider in a web in my backyard. Recently, I’ve been feeling really overwhelmed by school and almost stuck like a bug in a web. Like a web, life has been feeling a little complicated and delicate. Taking this picture was interesting because I am pretty scared of spiders. Despite this, I’m proud of myself for taking the picture despite my fear. This also ties into how I’ve been feeling recently because despite how overwhelmed I am, I’m proud of myself for continuing to try.

Rule of Thirds – Motion

Stream of Water

For this week’s photo blog, we were tasked to take a picture showing motion using the rule of thirds. For my picture, I took a photograph of a stream of water coming from a spigot. I wanted to capture the motion of the water. I used the rule of thirds in the positioning of the water and the pipe on the left side of the photograph.

Guitar

For this week’s prompt, we were tasked to show who we are without showing our face. For my self-portrait, I chose to take a picture of my guitar. I’ve had this guitar since I was eleven and it still works! Music has always been something that helps me connect with people and something that I can use as an escape from reality. When I’ve been stressed out about school lately, I listen to music or pick up my guitar. Music has also shaped the way I see life and I’ve been able to see my personality evolve along with my music taste.
