In this photo, I used the snow on the window to frame the trees.

Especially during the pandemic, I relied on my laptop for everything from school to communication.

This week’s photo blog prompt is current events. This is a photo of a flag in my neighborhood showing support for Ukraine.

At a glance, the rock in this photo may appear to be part of the rooves. I composed this shot with a shallow depth of field so that the foreground is separated from the background.

The trees encroaching around the sky remind me of the phrase “green with envy.”

The sound of the wind blowing through this art installation as well as the moving colors reminded me of music.

This photo places the viewer looking up into the trees, perhaps making the viewer feel small or the world feel big.

Following the prompt of film noir, I edited this photo in Photoshop to make it black and white. I think it works because of the contrast between the dark areas and the light from the window reflecting onto the tree.

This week’s photo prompt was to take a picture inspired by “work”. Instead, this photograph represents the absence of work. Taken over a break in a cabin up near Arnold, this photograph shows a moment of peace away from work. Work can be incredibly draining but it makes us appreciate when we can take a break.
