A fleeting moment on the Pacific Coast.

“Be creative about capturing a sunset.”

I recently took a trip down to LA with my dad to tour universities. On the drive back up, we decided to hit the famous Pacific Coast Highway and I managed to capture a final fleeting moment of the gorgeous sunset as it faded away into darkness.

I am a fan of the sunset, but I always prefer the first moments of dusk– just as the sun has fully crested the horizon and the deep reds and oranges in the sky slowly follow suit. Instead of the sky being covered in orange at this time, there exists a beautiful transitional blue between the sun’s fire-y tones and the darkness of the night sky.
