“Fill the frame with just one color.”
Based on the examples I researched for filling the frame, I’m not sure if this fits perfectly– but, it does fill the frame with just one color: Green.
This is a photo I took at Hakone Gardens, a Japanese zen garden collection in Saratoga. I love how this picture fills the frame with not just one shade of green, but many. From the yellow-ish greens in the koi pond to the deep verdant greens of the carefully manicured trees, nature’s favorite color is everywhere.
I would highly recommend you, the reader, to go check out the gardens. They’re a very peaceful place and a wonderful place to learn about Japanese landscaping. Best of all you’ll be supporting a local business.
