“Earth, Fire, Wind, Rain, and Spirit. Take an inspirational photo of an element of our world.”

Earth.

Our home, our world, our big ball floating in space. Traditionally, when we think of the element of Earth, we think of the ground that we stand on. Yet, to me, the element of the Earth is the sum of its many parts. It is the natural structures of the world– the mountains, cliffs, and canyons; the rivers, seas, lakes, and oceans; the forests, woods, fields, and plains. It is all that billions of years of tectonic plates shifting, erosion, weather, and the natural movements of the planet have formed.
