About Me

My name is Stephen Messner, and I was a student at Freestyle Academy, and Mountain View High School, in the Class of 2026. I am an athlete, a videographer, and a kind, funny, energetic person. But the most important aspect of my life is:

I am a follower of Jesus Christ.

Some of my core values are consistency, enthusiastic, curious, open-minded, etc.

I play football, workout, listen to music, and serve at church. Football is my passion, alongside working out, and is something I can always go to when I need something to do that is also a ton of fun. Matter of fact, that’s me after I kicked the game winning field goal against Palo Alto in my senior year. Mountain View 46 – 44 Palo Alto. Thanks to my team’s success, I was blessed to earn 49ers Prep Player of the Week!

I will be playing football at University of Puget Sound while studying communications. Listening to music, specifically Christian music is good for my soul, and gets me going each day like no other genre does. Serving at church is also great for my soul, as I get to connect with fellow believers and share the love of Jesus Christ with others.

As a Freestyle Student, I aimed to walk into every situation, assignment, and challenge with confidence in my skills, while also being the dumbest in the room. I mean that in a good way, as I don’t want to assume that I know everything, because I don’t. I’m so far from being perfect that I want to learn as much as I can, and become a better student before leading others.

Being a Freestyle student was amazing overall. I’ve been surrounded by a ton of amazing people, and I get to do hard work. Hard, but fun work. It gave me a reason to wake up in the morning, because I get to have fun at Freestyle while creating and learning new things. I had so much fun at Freestyle that it didn’t even feel like I was working – I was just having a blast.
