And now, it’s time for the big one – Zenith: The Ultimate Freestyle Project
I decided to redo my experimental unit, as I wasn’t satisfied with it across any of my classes junior year. In doing so, I created an Experimental Music Visualizer.

I started off by finding people to do the music. We did a cover of “KIDS ARE GROWING UP” by The Kid LAROI, and I wanted the vibe to feel nostalgic and acoustic – very raw and simple, if you will.

I invited my friends Tyler and Arjun to play drums and guitar, respectively, as well as my good friend Santi to play bass and help with chord progression.

Then, my buddy Ben and I went all around the Bay to film countless shots that felt nostalgic, yet simple. He even brought his camcorder to make some shots feel nostalgic. We went to San Francisco, Hidden Villa, and Battery Section to bring my vision to life. Here’s Ben relaxing and enjoying the view before getting a nice shot of the beach.
When it came time to edit everything together, I used ProTools for the music, and Premiere Pro for the visuals. I played around with the different effects and transitions to make a pretty cool VHS overlay.
And finally, after way too many studio sessions, and countless hours in Film, I present to you my Zenith! Hope you enjoy!
