Welcome to my Animatic page! An animatic is a precursor to the animation, using scans of our graphic novel. We used Adobe Flash to bring the graphic novel to life by inlcuding sounds and making the comic into a paper movie. Creating the Animatic gave us vital experience needed with Adobe Flash to be ready for our Animation. The purpose of the Animatic was to get a general sketch of our animation, which we could use to gauge how long each scene was, and what sounds we would need to record.
In order to create the Animatic, we had to scan our graphic novels into Adobe Photoshop, and then use the slice tool to separate each panel into different picutre files. Next, we had to import them into Flash and put them in order according to scenes. We then used Pro Tools to record the necessary sounds to coincide with the Animatic.
