Self-Portrait

Faceless self portrait in my bedroom

I was initially unsure of what to do for this photo, but after thinking it over, I think the thing that most represents me aside from my own face would be my room! In this picture I wanted to capture the disjointed energy I’ve worked hard to cultivate in my room. Behind me is my poster wall, which represents my wide range of obsessions in media I’ve had over the years, including Sailor Moon, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Thai shows, and various others. To my right is my closet, which, like the rest of my room, is a very bright mess of colors. I decided to block out my face with the camera flash as a way to initially draw the viewers eyes to the face, but eventually trail off to the other details in my room, which in my opinion, represent me better than my face ever could.
