Printing and Scanning

What's available at Freestyle for printing and scanning?

• Paper printing in black and white is available in the Digital Media Room (table near sink). Instructions on printing table. Color printing is available upon request to Mr. Florendo.
  
• A large format scanner is available in the Digital Media Room (table near sink). Instructions on printing table.
  
• A 3D printer is available in the Digital Media Room. You can 3D print any model at Freestyle. All we ask is that you pay for your material (typical material is $20 per kilogram) so you figure out how much you have to pay for your model depending on the amount of material your printing requires. Pay cash to Mr. Florendo or PayPal to pay@freestyleacademy.rocks . We have this 3d printer: Qidi Tech X-Max 3D Printer
  
  1. Download or create your 3D model (.stl or .obj file works well)
  2. Ask Mr. Florendo to view the various 3D printing filaments and colors that we have in the Digital Media room:
     
     • PLA - a sugar based material
     • ABS - synthetic plastic like lego bricks
     • TPU - bendable like thick rubber
     
     
  3. Open your 3D Model with the correct slicer software. Make changes to the 3D Model file as needed for your needs - set material, resize, rotate, add supports, etc.
  4. Ask for help to actually print because there’s a lot of small details to be aware of
  5. Note: 3D Printing can take several hours depending on the size of your model
