Alebrijes on a shelf in front of a wall of leaves
F/16 ~ ISO-1600 ~ Exposure time-1/400 sec. ~ Focal Length of 18mm

While I was in Mexico this year, I ended up going to a place where they make alebrijes. It was a really cool experience for me because they showed how they made all the pigment for the alebrijes. They weren’t using artificial dyes to color their alebrijes. I don’t fully remember what they said that they were using, but none of it was artificial.
If you don’t already know what alebrijes are, they are, to my knowledge, basically spirit animals for people. Alebrijes are usually colored with vibrant pigments and patterns. The most common pattern I see is usually flowers.
