Hello, my name is Alex Sharp. I was a Freestyle Academy student from 2022-2024 and I took film production classes with Mr. Taylor. During these two years, I created many different types of films, such as experimental, narrative, documentary, and animated. You can view all my projects by clicking the buttons on the menu above.
During Freestyle, I grew my filmmaking style and realized I really like experimental film. I also made a lot of friends and met a lot of unique people at Freestyle. These 2 years have been the best of my high school career.

As one of my last projects in my Digital Media class, I designed my own personal stationary, resume, and business cards. You can view them below.
The design was based off my final film for Freestyle, where I chose a colorful and psychadelic aesthetic and my characters were based off of a mushroom and a flower. I like to think that became my signature style.

Reflection
I am endlessly grateful for Freestyle. It allowed me to follow my dream of filmmaking and it made my high school experience worth it. It influenced me to apply to film school and I think I will be even more prepared for it now that I know how to use some of the software and equipment that comes along with film. Freestyle allowed me to create my dream final project at the end of senior year and surprised me with what I was able to accomplish. It’s such a special community that you can’t find anywhere else and I’m glad I got the chance to experience it.
