About Me

Hi! I am Amanda Jernigan. At the start of my high school journey, I had no clue know who I was. All I knew was that I loved anything and everything to do with creating. Now, as I am on the precipice of adulthood, I know for sure that I am fighter, a lover, a learner, and someone that deserves life. Of course, I still have a long life to live and instead of fearing it, I now find comfort in it. Comfort in the unknown, one could say.

So, if you are here reading this, welcome to my never-ending journey.

Some of my favorite things to do right now are creating music by way of playing violin and also drawing, filmmaking, animating, and doing photography. The things I value most right now are my friends and my family because they have been with me for every phase of my life, whether difficult or gratifying.

This is me!

Outside of my creative endeavors, you’ll find me working part time at Heaney Violins, where I get to be surrounded by marvelous melodies and help others discover the wonders of music. I also enjoy hiking up mountains, and biking. I love hiking and biking because it makes me feel like a character in a beautiful movie and it helps me relieve myself of stress from everyday life. I also love to cook decadent meals and serve them to my loved ones.

After I graduate high school, I plan to branch out of my comfort zone, creatively and mentally. In this process, I hope to find things I really enjoy doing and meet people I wouldn’t have met otherwise. I also hope to expand my knowledge and continue to learn more things about me!
