The challenge this week was to “Fill the Frame” and one of the techniques to achieve this is to simplify the background and I figured that a solid color is very simple. I photographed my amazing cat, Biggie Cheese, in front of my second monitor which has that pinkish red color. I love the way this turned out and the timing was perfect because, although my cat loves to sit on my desk, he typically lays down so I caught him while he was sitting up in front of the screen which, ALSO, isn’t usually blank with only the background color showing. I love this photo and I love my cat so much. Next time I might try to make sure my aperture is higher so that more of him is in focus, but I was simply rushing to snap this picture before he moved.
