3D Weapon
3D modeling things in Maya is pretty easy for the most part. It’s the base so you don’t have to worry all that much about detail and I already think in basic 3D shapes. There was some concern on if the Maya base was going to translate well into Zbrush, having the wires being a bit complicated and could mess up the whole model. However, everything still ended up pretty top notch.

3D Environment-ish
I didn’t 100% complete this one. It was just so much for something that didn’t look promising in the slightest. I worked on it in Maya under the slight assumption that it was going to be just in Maya, and it looked actually pretty good as just that. However, then we got into other stuff, It just didn’t look promising. The final nail in the coffin was when when the Zbrush file was too big and awful to decimate. All of the small details got butchered and it took ours to get the UV Set up, and when it did get set up, I forgot to save the final file. So I just gave up.
3D Character

This character is one that I’ve had in my back pocket for a while. When I was making this, it was looking kind of good, but I think that I started to lose the look that my original drawings had. Some of the annoying things that came up was that there is this face covering his left eye that I didn’t realize before it was too late. It was flipped so I didn’t see it when I first made it and it’s just sitting there, mocking me forever. Also, I didn’t really know what I wanted the textures to be when I was going through substance painter. I made a version with the textures being more in line with the “realistic cloth” and stuff, but it turned out really creepy and ugly. So I used this dusted rubber texture with different colors, which was definitely the way to go.
3D Animation
I spent a really long time on this, which makes sense because this was my very first time animating. At the time, I was like “this is really good, good job me”. Looking back on it now it’s really rough, especially the jump. I think I would have done a lot better if i looked at some references before and while I made it
The audio that I used for this is from the classic “Night of the Living Dead”. Yeah, not a huge fan on this one. The Facial controls were really wonky and I’m just not that great at lip sync at all. So put that all together and it’s all kind of embarrassing.
Narrative Animation
AHHH! This is great! I worked really hard on this project and I think that it’s all a pretty great project. I worked with other people (Look at the credits for names and the model that they had used). We kinda sectioned it off into whichever scene that our characters were in, we were in charge of it. However, all of those transition scenes, environments, and editing is all me. I really wanted it to look good and shine and yeah. I would say that it did. Top tier project.
