So making the lightbox was actually kind of fun. This was connected to the English Narrative, Bone Vultures, that I made. It’s depicting a scene from the “job”. The classic, bring the body into the alleyway and take the fella’s bones. I think the hardest part was making the partchment paper parts because I really wasn’t able to test them. I had to make sure that I got it at my first go around which is terrifying. What if it didn’t work and I would have to start at again all over. So eventually, I made a model where I could easily remove the parchment paper and it wouldn’t mess up the flow and look of the overall lightbox
Luckily, I didn’t have to worry.
The Physical Lightbox
So yeah, this is the finished project. I think it did turn out pretty good. Something that I think is a little bit odd is the fact that I didn’t know how exactly the parchment paper was going to react to the light. What I neglected to really look into is the fact that the light was going to kind of bounce around in there and it’s going to approach the holes that I made in a less than a full on angle. So it kind of comes off as this weird ghostly effect, which isn’t ideal, but I think it’s clear enough for it to achieve the effect I was going for. I also think I misspelled alleyway so, sorry for that.
