In the practice time before the MVHS’s Marching Band Community Thank You performance, we went through various traditions due to it being our last Saturday practice, which included run throughs of our show with no freshmen, then no sophomores, then no juniors, then a run with no seniors… during the no juniors run, I was able to take photos of the performance. Focused on in this photo is our center marimba player and section leader, Chloe Chi, in the middle of performing our show “Upside Down”. I stood with the sun behind the subjects of the shot as I took this photo, which allowed for interesting lighting, but also unfortunately meant the sun was directly in my eyes as I tried looking at the camera screen to see what I was doing.
