On the drive to San Fransisco with my mom today, I took some photos of the sunset through the car windows. This is one of my favorites from that batch: I think the tree silhouettes in contrast to the light yellow of the sunset, the mostly dark foreground and the reflection of light giving just enough visual information to tell the object in front a car, the fence and the thick tree trunk all make for an interesting composition. The mass of shadowed shapes in the foreground is heavy on the right side, but countered by the tree silhouette in the top left, giving a feeling of balance.
