My dad’s friend Peter is awesome. He is an entrepreneur and magician and 3D printer enthusiast. He made this 3D printed version of himself and gave it to my dad for his birthday. The level of detail is crazy; it always looks like there is a little elf or borrower sitting on our bookshelves.
In this photo, I liked the contrast of Peter and the books. The sense of proportion is thrown off. At first, it is almost hard to tell if the books are really big or if the person is really small. The shallow depth of field highlight’s the statue and gives the effect of Peter almost peeking around the corner.
