I decided to put a red “X” over my face in the mirror to portray this theme because it turns the mirror, which typically connotes self-reflection, into a surface to cover oneself. I also wore a dark cap and shirt. I used a slow shutter speed to give the subject a ghost-like effect because I often think of ghosts as entities who have lost their identities. In Photoshop, I used the Quick Selection tool to make everything except the red lipstick black and white.
