This is a photo of a chocolate lava cake that I got for my birthday at one of my favorite restaurants, True Food Kitchen. Although the dessert is on the right third of the frame, the angle of the candle flame leads one’s eye closer to the center of the frame. The effect is the appearance of a balanced composition, despite the fact that the actual subject is in the right foreground.
