In our film class, here we were tasked with creating short narrative films ranging 8 to 12 minutes long, it took up much of my time. We started this process back in the fall where we came up with stories, and then edited and changed them many times. Eventually after countless pitches, discussions and alterations, we all had solid ideas. Next, choosing partners was essential. I ended up with Jaz Livnat, which was a great discussion as we work together very well and both agreed on concepts of a story. Next came script writing which in my opinion was the hardest part. We had to formulate this world, envisioning what each scene would look like, with the intent of actually putting on a screen. After stressful weeks of working on a our 10 page script, we had to quickly come up with places we were going to film, actors, and everything else that goes into making a film. Even after we hashed out all of the details, we continued to work on the script up until out shooting days. All together we had a combined four days of long hours, filming across three different locations. This required a lot of coordination regarding anything involved, ranging from the weather, dates that worked for all of our actors, costume design, keeping track of equipment, ect. Here are the results of our final senior narrative. We rally spent so much time and effort on this project, so I can confidently say that it is the proudest project of mine that has come out of freestyle and just high school in general. I think there are so many neat details that make it look good, so I hope you truly take the time to watch it. I hope you enjoy.
