This week’s photo blog challenge was to take a photo using a film trick. For the past several years I have been seeing photos of people on giant chairs circulating on the internet. The giant chair is supposed to be ‘normal sized’, and the camera is angled upwards, making the person in the chair look very small. This is a picture of my friend Dana, who is very tall at 5’10”. I did not have a massive lawn chair readily accessible, so we used this very large porch sofa that we found in her backyard. I intentionally angled myself down in a way that made her look as small as possible, despite us being on the same ground level. Despite not having the chair, I think I used the porch sofa worked fairly well as a replacement, and we get a similar effect.
