Dinner and a Movie?

diner with marilyn monroe

This week’s photo blog challenge was to take a photo that looks like an advertisement for a modern convenience you rely on. Okay, maybe my modern conveniences aren’t super recent… but I think two things I have come to heavily rely on are a) a good diner and b) classic Hollywood films. As crunch season for the last quarter approaches, I love to get out of my house and work in the ambiance of a local diner with some good coffee. If I must stay at home, I usually turn on an old flick I’ve seen a million times just for the background noise and moral support. This photo is the outside of an awesome diner I went to in Palm Springs a little while ago, and it has a mural of Marilyn Monroe on it that looks like cool billboard art. Regardless, the sign and the mural certainly attracted me to take a look at the restaurant menu.
