Funny Compositions
For this assignment, I learned some new Adobe Photoshop techniques that would allow us to edit and composite several images together to create a new image. I then used this new skills and applied them to the assignment to create two funny compositions with different images that did not relate to each other.
Motion Graphics
For this project, I was given an introduction to using Adobe After Effects which is a software for video editing. I had a lot of fun doing this project and learning all the capabilities that this program had to offer. For the assignment, we learned new skills on Adobe Ae and then applied them to our own design.
Multi-Layered Art
In this assignment, we took our World Building Narrative and created a final piece that was going to be used in two separate finished works. The start of the project was to create an artwork using Adobe Illustrator using many layers that if split up would be assembled into a 3D design to create the illusion of depth.
For my project, I chose the Lightbox option instead of the rings or stacked wood art because I thought the light aspect would best enhance the experience of the audience as this piece is related to my world building project. I wanted to capture the entire atmosphere with this artwork by having an outline of a noir figure with the trench coat, fedora, and firearm and his silhouette was filled with an ominous city helped by the red lighting and the background has the ghost aspect which is a key reference to the worldbuilding project.
This project was a lot of fun and I learned many technical skills such as how to format out my artwork to make sure all the layers were correctly cut out. Then learning how to assemble the cut pieces and attach the lights in the way I want and take photos. One of the most interesting parts of this project was learning the 3D animation in Adobe After Effects which was a lot of fun and I know this will be very helpful to my future projects.
