Stranger

When I took this photo, I was in Digital Media when we were practicing how to use the camera in the Tv mode. Since this was the beginning of the year, I didn’t know that many people at Freestyle or didn’t know them that well. I took this photo just messing around and thought it

Angles

For this blog I wanted to capture a unique view where I peered through the sandstone walls of the Stanford Quad and saw the scaffolding. This created an interesting angle to shoot as we can see the work being done on the already existing structure.

Rule of Odds

For this photo blog we had to take a photo of multiple of objects in the odds amount.I found that I could do this by focusing on one object but still having two more in the background just as it is in this photo with the lemons in my backyard.

Aging

For this photo blog, I found that this part of a scaffolding structure had some plant growth that seemed to have been there for a while. I thought that this would be a perfect representation of aging for the wood and the plants show long lasting and time spent of the scaffolding.

Negative Space

I got the chance to use some lighting rigs and I loved the backlit kind of style that was portrayed here. I was able to carve out my face and body using these lights and it was a lot of fun to do it. This was one of my favorites and experimenting with the lights

Shadow

Center Frame Portrait

This is the Hoover Tower, the highest point in all of Stanford and is a one of the oldest parts too. I took this photo for my Documentary Project but it didn’t make the cut but as a center frame portrait, I thought it was perfect.

New Beginnings

Stanford holds many amazing sites and one of them is the main quad which is a building that is made out of sandstone and is one of the most iconic parts of campus. This photo is the renovation of one of the archways to make it pristine and nice. A new beginning for this building

Holiday Traditions

With this photo, I was completing the prompt of “Balance of Holiday Traditions” which I personally took as Christmas which I celebrate with my family. I specifically viewed the ornaments because that is my favorite part of the holiday which is decorating the tree with family.

Water

I took this photo in my restroom all fogged up to represent how that water can be a way to see your reflection but can also be the same thing that blocks your view. Water can be versatile, so it is important to accept your surrounds, but you can also change your surroundings to change
