Low Angle

This was taken outside the Hoover Tower at Stanford. The tallest point on campus and one of the oldest. It was so tall that I could only capture the very peak of the tower so I thought it was best to present this as my “Low Angle” photo blog.

Elements

This is the gravel that I travel over often. But when I stopped to take a photo, I noticed the texture of each individual rock that made up the whole of the gravel walkway. Each rock unique to themselves while also blending together is a conflicting concept of sad and inspirational. While they maintain their

Color Without Color

This photo captures the holiday of downtown MV without the need of the colors from the lights. Giving a strong sense of the feeling, without directly telling what it is.

Rule of Thirds with Emotion

I tried to represent a stoic and calming emotion when capturing this photo, but I feel like this is more somber bordering on gothic. I liked how this turned out and it captured a really moody atmosphere.

Facial Symmetry

This is a painting of a self portrait I did. I thought that this would be an interesting and fun way to see the symmetry effect used on a painting. Since flipping a canvas is typically a strategy used to identify strange spots in a painting, it would be just as interesting to see a

Geometry

A nice trip to Stanford University’s campus allowed for some interesting interactions with the decor. As I found these amazing sphere sculptures around the engineering quad and I thought to take some photos.

Flowers

When given this assignment, I thought I had to go and travel for this photo, but a closer look and found myself in the backyard, finding flowers just as amazing as those in professional gardens.
