Color without Color

For this assignment, we were tasked to create an image that shows color while being black and white. During this time, though, I was really getting into Photoshop Compositing, so I tried combining both skills together for this photo blog assignment.
Inspired by those “shattered face” images, I wanted to create something surreal-ish. To emphasize the color portion of this assignment, I also added blood dripping down my eye, since blood is often heavily correlated to the color red.
Besides those major details, I also used this assignment to practice a skill I’ve been learning through photoshop — blemish removal. Using the heal brush, I took different parts of my skin to remove some imperfections. I also photoshopped a different Iris, whitened the eye, and added a little bit of blood in the lower eyelid cavity.
