Hometown

Hometown

This week, we were challenged to take a photo of our hometowns. I chose a picture of the Taipei 101 in Taipei, Taiwan. Although Taipei isn’t where I grew up, it’s where my family lives and where I’ve spent a lot of my summers at, so I still like to consider it as my hometown.

Black and White

Black and White

This week, we were challenged to take a photo in black and white. I chose to take a photo of some Christmas cookies I baked because they are usually associated with warm colors of the holiday season. It’s strange to see some cookies without color.

Leading Lines

Leading Lines

This week, we had to use leading lines to show the concept of infinity. This is a photo taken at a hotel in Singapore. The lines created by the guard rail on both sides of the path make the hallway seem really long or even endless.

Love Story

Love Story

This week, we were challenged to take a photo that told a love story. I decided to take a photo of my friend, Leigh Anne, holding a plush sheep from the game Minecraft. She had recently purchased it and was very happy about it. She loves her sheep.

Weight

Weight

This week, we were challenged to take a photo inspired by weight. I took a photo of this cardboard box. A box this big seems like it should be heavy, but it’s actually really light. After all, it’s just an empty cardboard box.

Symmetry Landscape

Symmetry Landscape

This week, we were challenged to take a photo that showcases symmetry. I took this photo of the roof of a house in my neighborhood, as it showcased perfect symmetry on both sides of the roof.

Warmth

Warmth

This week, we were challenged to take a photo of something that makes you feel warm inside. I decided to take a picture of my Nintendo Switch on one of my blankets. For me, playing video games has always made me happy. Playing a game for countless of hours in the comfort of my own bed has and will always be something that can easily warm my heart.

Mood

Mood

For this weeks photo challenge, we were challenged to take a photo based off the mood we were feeling that day. The day I took this photo, I felt pretty bored the entire day and I didn’t really do anything productive. This is shown through all the crossed out writing, leaving no legible words on the paper.

Rule of Thirds – Motion

Rule of Thirds – Motion

For this photo challenge, we had to take a photo using the Rule of Thirds that showcases motion. This is a photo of my cat in a tree. She was trying to chase a bird that she saw and her stance shows that she is ready to jump to another part of the tree.

Self Portrait

Self Portrait

For this photo, I took a picture of some of my favorite albums laying against my CD player. This photo is representative of me as listening to music is one of my favorite things to do. My parents gave me this old CD player to allow me to have and listen to physical versions of my favorite music. I have listened to all of the pictured albums for hours on end and they have all helped me to become the…
