Erin Atluri 😀
Hi my name is Erin Atluri and In 2019-2021, I was a Junior and Senior at Freestyle Academy. I first heard about Freestyle when I was in eighth grade from my sister who was a freshmen in high school. Ever since I heard about the program I have wanted to attend it. One of the main reasons I joined the animation program was my love for Ghibli Films. The first movie I ever watched from them was Ponyo. The art style and the visuals on the screen were so awe inspiring to me. I was too young to understand the deeper meaning of the movie but I was so moved by the beautiful art that I was watching. In the future I want to pursue a career in 3-D graphic design specifically for VR so I can make games that can also inspire others.
As a former Freestyle student, the thing I value the most was the creative environment. All of the people who are taking this program came here to make art and being in a place filled with so many creative people was pretty awesome. This experience was so different from what we get at a normal high school.
Reflection
Freestyle helped me really decide what I wanted to study in college. Getting to learn about 3D modeling and getting to learn all of the Adobe programs helped amplify my passion for art.
